There used to an addon (Lightxxx)for FF which showed the trace route of your
request and its hops. It resolved as a name of a company not an ip, the hops
could be understood that the server was located at the destination of your
   request. It is a good
ideas to see which and how many points there are and how most of your traffic
   goes.
