How about the big picture?              The big picture is that.......when we started our kid's bg band, 4 years       ago, Eastern Washington was a Bluegrass Wasteland. Today there are four       area jams (one that's taylor-made for kids & beginners), several good bg       bands, pitifully few teachers and a local festival.              Another quick fact .....kids are more attracted to bg now, than they have       been since the 70's. Think about it a minute......there are a whole lotta       kids out there that don't relate in any way-shape-form..........to rap and       hip-hop. Bluegrass is growing in popularity......our local, "cool", insense       filled record store has a pretty darned good selection of contemporary       bluegrass, newgrass and classics.       KateH :)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
