Bluegrass is quite big in Slovakia as       well as Japan and Italy, and black groups like the Ebony Hillbillies       are out there too. However, I haven't encountered any hispanic       bluegrass ...yet.              I attended a talk on the future of bluegrass a few years ago at       the Rutgers Folk Festival. The panel said bluegrass is alive and       well, and living on the other side of the world [Europe, Asia] at       the moment. I seem to recall they said the worlds largest       bluegrass concert was in Italy. They believe it will be       rediscovered and return to it's roots (so to speak) some       time soon.              I'd love to get my hands on some of those CDs from across       the pond.                     Later...              Ron Capik       --              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
