   A four string mandolin is an oddity.  The dual strings create a   
   particular sound that can only be duplicated on a four string   
   electronically.  I have not played one so I am not confident that the   
   sound would satisfy me.  By the way, the link you provided did not show   
   a four string mandolin and all the instruments seemed over-priced.
