Danny Paisley House Concert 5/31 New Cit

The Borderline Folk Music Club of Rockland County is proud to present the
very best in Traditional Bluegrass when we welcome DANNY PAISLEY & THE
SOUTHERN GRASS to our house concert series on Sunday afternoon, May 31st at
2 PM. The venue is Steve Shapiro's living room located at 7 - Trailside
Court in New City (Rockland County), NY 10956

Danny Paisley & The Southern Grass play powerful.unadorned and intense,
traditional Bluegrass. The instruments blaze with energy while the songs
   reveal a paradoxical,
desparate sadness anchoring the music squarely in the classic Bluegrass
tradition. It is music you not only hear, but feel in your gut. The band
features Danny Paisley on Guitar & lead vocals,
T.J. Lundy on fiddle, Bobby Lundy on banjo, Michael Paisley on bass, and
Donny Eldreth Jr. on mandolin. They have 2 albums to their credit and
record on the Rounder label. Danny is the son of the legendary Bob Paisley
and took over leadership of the band after his father passed away a few
years ago. Danny has taken the band to new heights in the few short years
that he has been at the helm.

We were indeed very lucky to get a band of this magnitude and quality to
play a house concert for us and we want to thank their agent, Jim Roe of Roe
Entertainment in Owensboro, Kentucky for making it all possible.

As an added attraction our emcee for the afternoon will be CAROL BEAUGARD,
the hostess of radio station WFDU FM's Bluegrass show, "Lonesome Pine RFD".

As usual, the suggested donation is $20 per person and we ask that all
attendees bring a cold pot luck dessert dish to share with 4 other people.

Due to the extreme popularity of this band, RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST because
we expect a very early sellout. To make these reservations e-mail to
solz1@optonline.net or call me at (845) 354-4586. For more information
