   Hi there,
Busking is when you play for passersby or for a specific group of
people who will (or won't as the case may be) stop and drop money into
   your case.

We have been hired by a venue to do this for the patrons and they toss
   money into the guitar case.

My band partner and I decided we would do this to take a bit of a
break from the bar scene and complete writing for the next cd. It sure
gives you a different perspective of the world around you when you go
   out busking.

There actually are world-wide busking festivals each year. If you are
anywhere around Nova Scotia, check out their annual summer busking
festival. It's a combination of all types of music from bluegrass to
celtic and some rock and roll thrown in as well.

   regards
