From: musonthemt_remov_spm@earthlink.net              >>Like folks will buy an instrument from Amazon without playing it...what       next. -- Best, Kirby              In that regard, Amazon.com is no different from Elderly, Musician's Friend,       or Janet Davis. People buy instruments without hearing them every day. It is       a trade-off of paying list price from your local store or getting a big       discount from a distant internet seller. In the end most people will vote       with their wallet. If Gibson somehow manages to get top dollar, people will       buy other brands. Other manufacturers offer competitive quality and pricing.       The Gibson instruments of today are no better than a dozen other brands, so       they no longer have the clout they had 20 years ago.              Bob              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
