|    Art Stamper dies    |

From: kfSPAMITUPYOURBUTTraizor@earthNOSPAMlink.net              To say Art Stamper was "a fiddler" is about as much an understatement as       saying Merle Travis was "a guitarist". One of the greats in bluegrass       history passed away in Louisville, KY Sunday night at the age of 71       following a four-year-long battle with throat cancer.              Art was as great without his fiddle as with. My mom told a story of running       into him at a rehab center a couple of years ago. She remarked what a       gracious gentleman he was (and how he knew me from my years of volunteering       at IBMA).              He will be sorely missed.                     --       Things get complicated when you get past 18.       --Statler Brothers              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
