     While at the 1993 Bluegrass Fest at the Happy Holiday Campground in   
   Cherokee,N.C.,I had the opertunity to meet Mr.Del McCoury while he was   
   waiting to go on stage. He was one of the nicest people that I had ever   
   met. It was one of my first festivals to visit. The man answered every   
   question using a lot of thought before answering us. I'm sure maybe some   
   of my questions were maybe a little goofy,but he showed a lot of   
   patience with all of us standing around him. That short event I spent   
   with him has left a lasting impression with me in the way he treated all   
   of us.....A real fine gentleman,I say!
