   Accordions were not uncommon in old-time music.   
   Sunshine Sue and the Rock Creek Rangers,   
   Accordion Al, and the Carter Sisters, usually Helen,   
   for examples I know about,   
   played them in the 1930s and 1940s.   
      
   Bill Monroe _could_ have chosen to include an accordion   
   in his canonical set of bluegrass instruments.   
   Think about that.  :)
