   It's a cuban house party... I go all shy when she brings the mike around

   Last night the place had been for some Hispanic community function,   
   finishing about 9.  When business concluded, there was the usual jabbering   
   phase, and the ususal relatives and friends who needed a captive audience to   
   sing a song or play a guitar...   
      
   A lot of the previous crowd stayed and listened to the del Monte family.   
   Including the guitar guy... About the 2nd song, the guitarist jumped up and   
   wanted to join in.   
      
   For nearly 10 minutes everybody in the band was playing with one hand and   
   messing with the mixer on their hands and knees trying to get him plugged   
   in.  Every voice must be heard, that's the cuban spirit.  .   
      
   PS HUGHS ROOM: I noticed on the Hughs Room list, Parachute Club revival is   
   listed on a double bill in August.  Could that include our Billy Bryans,   
   timba DJ extraordinaire, ex-drummer of Parachute Club??  ... see if he's   
   reading this...   
      
   PS CARLOS MANUEL footnote: Maybe somebody has the same question I did about   
   Ukrainian Hall.  I wanted to know where it was on the scale of creature   
   comforts, e.g. was it going to be cafe style with tables, chairs, food,   
   waiters?  Answer from chico:
