From: bogul@nospambog.net              [Major Snip to preserve sanity]              AM.              I guess to wrap it up. I can't make up for the past musical injustice       done since I haven't a clue what has actually transpired.Nor can I really       attempt to do so. I have gone to 4 different bluegrass/old time jams in       my illustriously short bluegrass career. They have ranged from exciting       to snoozers. I've even gone to the local senior citizens center (I'm 40)       and "jammed" with folks mostly 30 years my senior. I can't say I was       inspired, but I learned quite a few things and felt truly appriciated       just for coming out and being there.              I guess my final thought would be ... these folks need you in their jam.       They might not "get it" for a while ... or ever. But to let narrow minds       prevent you from participating and adding your flavor to the music is       simply not to be tollerated. Perhaps you could learn to "redneck it up"       just a little but still maintain your sense of where you'd like to go...       who knows...but I'd hate to see both parties miss out on something so       cool just 'cause the guy at the mixer is a prick.              b              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
