   Well,I'm 59. I like BG music. I also like jazz,blues,R n' R,country and   
   some classical. But my favorite is bluegrass and singing the bg Gospel   
   harmony. Since I only play by ear,I have to hear it first. When I first   
   started playing bg,I would go to these jams and kinda play along on the   
   sidelines until I improved on my licks and just gradually move toward   
   the inner circle. In that manner, There wasn't a problem of me playing   
   off key or being out of time with everyone else. For I'm quite aware of   
   some of these clods who get in the middle of everyone and start blanging   
   away on a guitar that's out of tune to start with. I'm just a novice   
   myself,but it sure is a lot of fun learning this music. And you get to   
   meet so many nice people along the way.
