   I think it's "in shame," not "ashamed."  Of course, with Lester's singing,   
   it can be hard to decipher sometimes - witness the common misreadings of   
   the third line of the first verse of "I'll Stay Around," which is actually   
   "I'm sure, dear, you think I'll follow."
