   It is what it is... a collection of sentient beings mostly pleased with   
   moving through their lives with relative ease and comfort (some do better at   
   this than others, obviously), and a small but loud collection of folks who   
   are not even a little bit happy unless they've got somebody else to   
   belittle.   
      
   As for purity, those areas where the "race" is pure, it's about the only   
   thing going for 'em. Does this mean you can throw twenty or thirty ethnic   
   groups into close proximity and expect everybody to just get along? Nope,   
   but it's hardly a clarion call for ethnic purity and locked-down borders   
   either.
