   People are mostly tone deaf sheep who are too won over by a catchy jingle to   
   notice the singer is very pitchy and the lyrics lost in a you had to be there   
   metaphor. I suspect most fans are not musicians themselves unless they're just   
   being polite as to    
   not hurt their own chance at a music career. Not that I think everyone needs   
   to be an amazing singer but Gord doesn't even sound competent.   
      
   Also whenever a musician dies the vultures take advantage. I'm sure his   
   pending death is currently fueling the media's interest.
