   I personally think P2P would have been great for previewing music but I   
   agree that something should definately be done about those people that just   
   refuse to pay for material they keep. They're the reason we're all paying   
   levies on blank CD-R/CD-RW and now certain mp3 players. :-(   
      
   I think most consumers would be happy with the time limited, copy protected   
   WMA files that will be made available for legal distribution on certain CDs   
   and certain P2P networks soon. I'm sure many of them simply downloaded mp3s   
   to preview music in a higher quality than the streaming that was available   
   to them a few years back. There were advances in technology since then so   
   i'm sure the illegal transfer of material will be reduced. I also think more   
   people would get into P2P once the majors get with the program
