   Sarah McLachlan's video for her song Stupid from the Afterglow CD   
   was again not yet on the MuchMoreMusic video top ten tonight.   
      
   In fact the countdown is clogged with videos that have been   
   on for a month or more and I bet most viewers are sick of and   
   wanting new videos and higher turnaround on the countdown.   
      
   Really instead of counting down mostly the same top ten   
   every night (even Dido's great video for No White Flag   
   is wearing thin now) maybe they should have a top   
   twenty or top fifty and only sample ten of them each   
   night and weight it towards not repeating them two   
   nights in a row and towards new videos, but listing   
   them all.   That would keep people watching night after   
   night instead of just once a week.   
      
   Also they should have a prime time hour of entirely new   
   videos each day, with at least 40% Canadian content.   
   They don't seem to know what their target market   
   of gen-X and baby boomers want, I think.   
      
   I know they have VideoFlow but that is generally during   
   the least watched hours, and during prime hours it   
   is just the repetitious top ten as noted above, and some   
   old videos on Bio/Driven/Profile/Pop Up Video,   
   and tabloid style celebrity worship shit with hardly any   
   videos, and much of it recycled VH1 stuff.  Sarah should   
   start her own singer/songwriter video station or   
   something, for Canada first but then sell it to the US too   
   rather than the other way around.   
      
   OK well maybe I will e-mail the station an edited version of   
   that tomorrow but not tonight.
