XPost: alt.music.s-mclachlan, alt.music.alternative.female, rec.music.folk       From: dalton@nfld.com              I just got my tickets today for Sarah Harmer on Sept. 12 and The Corrs       on Sept. 8 here in St. John's. Just kidding, I never buy tickets       early and anyway I may be in Vancouver then.              But anyway do any of you like Sarah Harmer and how is she live?       I missed her a few years ago when she was first starting out       solo after her earlier time just in Weeping Tile (is that a reference       to those weeping sacred paintings, etc., as well as a home building       term?) and played a solo gig at The Ship Inn which I didn't go       to for some reason, maybe I was insular that week, or poor.              What about the Corrs, any fans on here?              Last night a jazz festival started here in St, John's and I       haven't bothered to get any tickets but may go to the       free outdoor show Saturday. Also today the Sound       Symposium started. Tonight I might after a rest go       hear Ron Hynes at The Rose and Thistle and/or       Larry Foley and Patrick Moran at O'Reilly's and/or       The Black Auks at The Ship Pub and/or Heillig Manoeuvre       at Grafenburg's Spot. And it looks like Live Girlz have       reunited for tomorrow night at The Ship (just kidding I think,       the band is named Bitches Rebrewed and are probably       different people and I never did hear Live Girlz who were       Liz Pickard, Colleen Power, Natalie Noseworthy and Angela Dawe I think       since Liz had still not unbanned me from her shows then though       I hadn't bothered to ask and when I did she did no problem       after I plied her with four double rums :-) ).              Anyway, if you like Sarah Harmer, follow up and blab a bit       about her.              David              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
