   Before I heard back from Nettwerk for sure that the tour would   
   not reach Mile One, I also e-mailed Lisa Neville, General Manager   
   of Mile One Stadium, to see if she knew if the tour would come.   
      
   She very quickly e-mailed me back this morning and said:   
      
   "I am as disappointed as you that Sarah McLachlan's 2005 tour won't be   
   extending to St. John's. It was her intention to play Mile One and we   
   did have discussions with her people. The problem is that we are   
   hosting the Canadian Federation Municipalities Conference during the   
   week she would have been scheduled to perform. I can certainly tell   
   you that we will be endeavoring to try to get her in the near future."   
      
   Hmmm, but maybe the weather will be good enough on June 4   
   to do an outdoor concert instead?   
      
   Or maybe the Exploits Valley Salmon Festival should look   
   into booking her for mid-July, after all they had   
   Bryan Adams last year.   
      
   Or she could play the convention centre solo.   :-)
