   We're somewhat protected here in Ottawa because the Corel Center has created   
   its own ticket agency (capitaltickets.ca) and some of the venues in Gatineau   
   are on another ticketing network (admission.com). But many of Ottawa's   
   medium and smaller venues are still on Ticketmaster so I bit nervous about   
   it as well.   
      
   I'm sure most people wouldn't want to be left with mediocre seating because   
   the best seats in the house were auctioned off. I am concerned that the   
   scalpers will simply then move on to selling the mediocre seating at   
   elevated prices. After all, if a ticket can be auctioned for five to ten   
   times the ticket price, why couldn't the others be scalped for as much ?   
      
   I've signed the petition with a comment stating that such auctions should be   
   kept for charitable organisations.
