   Jim Fidler has told me his new reggae CD will be released Thursday   
   Aug. 6 at The Rock House on George Street here in St. John's,   
   Newfoundland.   That is two nights after the George Street Festival   
   ends, the night after the regatta and the night before the folk   
   festival.  It will be from 8 p.m. to midnight and Jim will do a solo   
   set plus there will be sets from The Gene Rippers, The Discounts   
   and The Idlers and special guests Steve Carew of Skank and   
   Colleen Power.  It should be a good time with room to dance.   
   Cover is $20 which includes a CD.   (Probably for those not   
   wanting a CD, e.g. the second member of a couple wanting   
   only one CD, it will be $10.)
