   > Not really related but, look up the Electric Universe theory. Very nice
   > alternative to big bang

Too vague to apply to just one theory. However, in general, the idea that
the universe is electrical in nature is a plausible *idea*.
But of course, now we have to *define* what "electrical" Really IS. The
usual concept is that it's something as simple as the *idea* of a + "plus"
or - "minus" "charge" - but that applies ONLY to the Electron Theory, or at
least *used* to, which itself depends on the Atomic Theory.
And since the term "charge", which used to be applied only to the Atomic
Theory's concept of "electrons", is now used to apply to other things,
namely magnetism, gravity, and even mass, it's obvious that there's a LOT
More to the "big picture", which is Infinite....which is why I've Always
*believed* in the Steady State Theory myself.

   > Yeah, now that you mention it, I know a lot of people like that :-)

Yep, everyone gets "PMS", and I've found that it's usually men who get it
   the worst ;)

   > The world was never peaceful, at least post Eden. Isn't now, never was.

That part is well known but the issue is with SAVAGES Lying to the effect
that they're 'civilized' even though history Conclusively and Clearly Proves
that they're Not. Like Practically Everything else about them, they're
Phonies - they *Pretend* constantly, and when they *claim* they're
'civilized', they Always use *Ancient* savages as their 'bad' example -
because they're Modern Savages, the Very Worst kind!!!

   > There's no problem with having to prove something ..... unless .....
   > asking for proof on every minute detail is simply a strategy to stop
   > anything from getting done.

No, it wasn't like that, but even though I'd established a Proven track
record, it made no difference - they Refused to trust me even though I'd
provided a Proven, Positive basis for doing so.

   > Simple fact is I'm working with people who don't know what they are doing,
   > and as a defense mechanism to hide that, they argue and debate constantly.
   > This isn't some bunch of academics endlessly debating some irrelevent
   > whatever. We have to actually show up and get thru the gigs.

   Plain, simple Disgusting Immaturity.

   > it seems to work that way, unless a way is found to break the cycle. I'm
   > about to do that with my problem co workers.

That's pretty much what it takes, and I was in no position to do that at the
   time.

   > I did a duo with band girl today. We were fine. Stopped and had a lunch
   > pre the gig, talked a bit. There is no major issue between us, just the
   > stress of, as I said, having to be responsible, show up and do the job.

If all is going well, it should be a pleasure to show up and play the gig,
   Not stressful.

   > Interesting, after the job, we were out in the parking lot, sitting in the
   > back ( hatchback open ) of my van for a second. It was warm, and we'd

   > He did mention that some of the acts don't fit in, particularly if they do
   > " bar " music. No vulgarity, real or hinted at, is appropriate. Said he
   > went up and told one guy ( solo ) that on the spot. Not gonna tolerate it.

Foul-mouths are Immature. They swear because they're Not in control and
Resort to it out of Lack of Discipline rather than a more intelligent and
   Mature response.

   > Later band girl expressed surprise at that attitude. I said, I'm not.
   > Treat these jobs ( retirement places ) like we're at church. Best
   > behavior, period. I've heard similar comments at other places. Save the
   > loud, and the bar attitude for bars.

I'm like that all the time, and I don't care to go to bars, even to play,
because of the Foul-Mouthed, Boozed-up Idiots.

   > You might find you like solo stuff. I do. It's not ALL I do, but I do a
   > lot of it, and it's rewarding in its own way.

I've already tried it with open mic events, and have found that I don't like
   it - TOO LONELY!
Music is for sharing, and that means with other musicians, not only the
audience...and just a piano and mic...play and sing, no bass, no drums, no
guitar...LONELY! That's what I already do at home, and that's Too Lonely
   too!

   > Eh, they are stressing me. I doubt their lazy attitude bothers some of
   > them at all.

Of course. It never does, or else they'd FIX that Problem!

   > Not sure of anything. I just accept the jobs I can, go play them, cash the
   > checks. When one door closes, another opens.

Yeah, I noticed that effect too, which is why I'd at least like the gigs to
   be at better venues ;)

   > Or as a lady friend of my is fond of saying, in relation to guys who get
   > all hung up on one woman ... then there's problems .... " The world if
   > chock full of females. God made a lot of them.

It's just slightly over 50 percent for women, otherwise, it's pretty
even...certainly not uneven enough for that to be a problem ;)

   > Go find another one. "

   Oh, just like that?

The ratio may be very close to 50/50 but each and every one is an
Individual, totally Unique unto him or herself!
And what if that Special person is Extra Special? Then what? I'm always
saying that Soulmates don't grow on trees!!!

   > I think that was advice she tried to give her son when he ran into divorce
   > issues, and seemed all stuck on trying to win back that one woman who at
   > that point hated him. Move on. It's really just that easy.

The problem wasn't the divorce issue, it was the marriage issue!
Marriage isn't only NOT for everyone, it's NOT FOR MOST!

   > I think that way about jobs. If they want me, cool. If they don't, just
   > as fine with me. I'll play somewhere else. And so far that's worked out
   > ok.

   Then no problem.

   > I think that because I know many of the places we work are government
   > subsidzed. They have all sorts of " minority " hiring rules. Sometimes
   > this gets hinted at when I'm talking to them.

   Jim

I'd be offended, to say the least, and tell them that we don't play for the
   government! ;)
