   I've rebuilt speakers so abused that the voice coil was actually wedged off   
   axis, and rammed into the magnet flux gap, and *welded* to the pole piece   
   from excessive heat - something only Idiots would do!   
      
   They don't understand that doubling the power, which dramatically reduces   
   the life of the  equipment, particularly loudspeakers, only gets them a mere   
   3 dB more sound pressure.
