I'm getting depressed just thinking about it.

"Luck of the draw"? Sure, *unless* you do CONCERTS!!!

I knew there were some good reasons why I'd rather do concerts ;)

   No lack of audience.
No playing for a bunch of drunks when there is an audience.
   No dancing.
   No sports.
No other Distractions and Diversions to prevent Totally getting into the
   Music!!!

   More like turn-over.

Maybe Boring, Old, Worn-out, Stale Un-Original material has something to do
   with it.

   tomorrows gig is fading.
It went from once a month to 5 times a year, down to 3 or 4 now. And
the actual dates keep getting moved. My challenge tomorrow is to do a
   good job and stay interested.

Almost sounds like one of those so-called 'no-brainers'.
Aren't some, if not a lot of those other musicians also potential if not
actual competitors for the same gigs?

Not doing one's best in the first place is the number one problem.
A combination of Laziness and Greed practically guarantees a Crap
   'performance' from the band!
