Do you eat kosher ?              Not all of them, but I still prefer kosher anyway, or halal, because then I       know there'll be no pork.              > Do all the crazy things required before Passover, or Feast of the       > Tabernacle ?              Jesus changed that by *being* the Passover Lamb of God!              > I had a friend who followed some old testament law about there not being       > any levened bread in the house for a week. Not even a cracker crumb in the       > couch. They literally tore their house apart cleaning it for years to obey       > that rule.              > He's since grown a brain.              Leaven is powerful symbolism for being puffed up, as with Satanic Pride,       which is why the unleavened requirement and even the requirement that no       leaven even be in the house.              > Christmas is about Christ. But the winter solstice, which is what this       > is, it about solar events. If you put both on the same day, you can call       > them whatever you want.              So what? Solstices, winter and summer, are displaced 180 degrees from each       other, as are the equinoxes, autumnal and vernal, from each other also by       180 degrees, and the solstices and equinoxes are displaced from each other       by 90 degrees, the result of the plane of the earth's equator being       displaced from the plane of the earth's orbit in its "trippin' 'round the       sun", the ecliptic. But that's only the astronomical alignment, the climatic       effects take about a month to be fully felt due to the thermal inertia of of       earth's geosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere.              > I have no problem understanding, and celebrating both. Even tho I know       > full well Jesus wasn't born on Dec 25.              I've heard arguments to the contrary but none of it matters to me. My father       used to enjoy telling the story of a nit picking telescope makers and an old       master optical engineer and telescope maker who was having trouble with the       nit picking telescope maker who kept complaining about a few extremely tiny       sleeks and scratches in a lens, even though their effect on the performance       of the telescope was practically insignificant. Finally, the old master had       heard enough and boldly proclaimed;              "You don't look *AT* the lens, you look *THROUGH* it!"              Kind of reminds me of the ever ongoing 'when-was-Jesus-really-born'       controversy ;)              > I have to be careful at these things.              No surprise there ;)              > More than once I've pissed someone off.              I'm certain it totally pales in comparison to what did and continue to do!              > Once years ago over gun confiscation.              I'm sure that'll do it ;)                     > Last year over phone surveilance and some military " challenge coins " I       > have. Over that, I have a pic on one in my phone, and a guy ask me where       > I got it the pic. I said it's mine. He knows I wasn't in the recent mid       > east war thing. So he called in " stolen valor ", implying that I claimed       > to have earned the decoration.              From what I've heard about them, they're also collected by those with no       prior military service, and serving in the NWO military is NOT a       requirement.              > I didn't say that. I said it was mine. Not that I earned it.              The Idiot should have figured that out, but then that would require       Thinking!              > He pushed me over how I got it. I told him it was given to me by       > .....gonna leave that part out .... and that really pissed him off. Well,       > it was. It was given to me, as a present, but someone who WAS there, did       > earn it, and absolutely wanted me to have it.              Serving Self-Serving Politicians is Nothing to be proud of...but they can't       figure that out either!              > He said people fought and died to earn those, and I should be ashamed to       > have one and claim it's mine. I have several. And they are mine. So       > there, suck on that.              In a bizarre way, while I can't agree with it, I can understand his       attitude - let me explain that in detail. It's based on his Denial and the       intention of that is to prevent his committing suicide...the US Department       of Veteran Affairs' current stats show that some 20 American veterans snuff       themselves every day.              In the course of dealing with passengers, I've met many veterans, a few from       the Korean War, more from Veitnam, and also from Afghanistan and Iraq...but       they all have something horrible in common, they're struggling to try to       live down what they did, and what was done to them. Most of them have told       me their stories and the depression and horror they emanate is thick enough       to cut.              Having observed it all too clearly, I don't hesitate to tell them that what       they're feeling is their having been BETRAYED, and for a very good reason,       they HAVE been Betrayed, by TRAITORS - Self-Serving Politicians whose Agenda       is Not about preserving our country, but rather Destroying it!              They NOW Painfully know this, having learned it the Totally Unnecessary hard       way and far too late, by being too Stupid to have First Researched WHAT THEY       WERE GETTING INTO!!!              I didn't bother to tell them that they've been Fools, because That was what       was, and IS Haunting them, right into the direction of their taking their       own lives.              But they could tell by the way I talked about it that I understood the       situation and their grief and that helped enormously, but I didn't stop       there - I played a couple of demo tunes for then, "The Flag Waves On", and       "Taking It Back" - they totally Loved it and that seemed to put some of the       spark of life back into them, and hopefully they may even choose life over       death.              > For years I had my dads Korean War decorations. Should I be ashamed to       > have those ? We had my wifes fathers WWII medals and pics and papers       > until she gave them to some veterans organization. I wasn't ashamed to       > have those in the house.              They give you a hard time because they're trying, often unsuccessfully, to       make believe that they were 'heroes' and did the 'right' thing by risking       their lives for politician Villains!              > So I guess that angy cop was angry because he felt I implied I earned the       > mid east ones.              More likely he was Pretending the situation so as not to feel so much the       Fool that he actually was!       In other words, he was dumping on you, trying to make you feel bad about       yourself in order to feel better about himself.              Imagine if you had a friend or relative's Distinguished Service Cross ;)              > I didn't say I earned them. Problem is, how I got them was totally legal,       > but also totally illegal to talk about. Like you said somewhere, just       > about everything is against the law here.              Here, there, and everywhere.              You're not allowed to *talk* about it?       Still, I can't say that I'm even the least bit surprised.                     [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
