I have written songs since I was a boy but always       > played covers, for the most part, when I performed because that paid the       > bills.              I didn't start writing songs seriously, which for me means writing entire       albums at a time, until over 6 years ago.              I got into my first band when I was 16 and 'naturally' figured that we'd       copy the Real artists' material until we 'learned the ropes' and became       familiar with how it all goes down, and at that point start writing our Own       Original material - so much for that, but I dared to hope anyway.              > With me retiring and music paying like crap around here anyway I figured I       > would polish up someof the old stuff and write some more. I've even been told be a listener that he thought that material       like that was gone forever and that the tune was already 'stuck in his       head'.              It's so Tragic that thanks to the all too Real Zombie Apocalypse, the term       "original" is regarded more and more often with scorn, disgust, and and       premeditated disappointment, because it's so often totally devoid of       innovative creativity and Meaningful Substance...but I don't care, because I       know my material will send them a powerful message - that there are       'originals', and then there are ORIGINALS!!!              And because I write entire 12 track albums at a time, and have 3 of them       already written and demo recorded, I can think about looking forward to       going on the "Opening A Channel" tour, to be followed by the "Ignite The       Sky", tour, and then the "Through The Eons" tour, by which time, maybe the       fourth album, which is currently half finished, with only 6 more tunes to       go, will finally be complete ;)              Ouisie              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
