   Sounds okay, no complaints ;)

I've never played any gigs like that, maybe I'm fortunate ;)

   > First set keep it down while people are still eating.

I'd Never want to mix Live Music and food! Each of those things requires
it's own unique kind of concentration, at least for myself anyway ;)

   > So Greg may have been hitting the juice early or who knows, but in any

Getting disgusting already ;) So the keyboard player cranked up? I just
   can't relate to such Immaturity!

   > Casey quit the band that night. No one ever told band girl why. She
   > learned the reason all these years later about from talking to him at our

   > Wonder why it took her a whole week to tell me ?

Whenever the Truth comes out, particularly when it Verifies other Truth,
there's usually a very Deliberate delay in presenting it, if it's presented
at all...in which case, it comes to the surface by itself, sooner or later!

   > This came up because she correctly sensed in our conversation yesterday
   > that I'm way past being tolerant of the volume thing. I don't care if it's
   > coming from her, her friends or the man in the moon. I'm just completely
   > fed up with dumb ass ex players trying to get us to do the same stupid
   > things they did to wreck their bands.

Homo Stupidicus is by far, the most Stupid of all animals, in fact it's no
contest! They repeat history because they Stupidly actually Deliberately
WANT to repeat it - they Insist on repeating it. But that's not the worst -
they Insist that *everyone* else repeats their Stupidity too!!!
Best to STAY FAR AWAY from them!!!

   > So her old buddy Casey, whom she spoke fondly of ( at least before last
   > saturday ) is basically telling her the same things I have been. We're
   > fine. We sound good. He specifially said we sound very good. Then he told
   > her why he quit all those years ago. That they, that band, played too
   > loud.

Those who play too loud very well Know they're playing too loud - but
because they're Stupid, they Insist on it, refusing to turn down and
attempting everyone else to turn up.

   > Here is an insight about getting old. I see people making mistakes that
   > I've made. The urge is to try and help them, warn them so they can avoid
   > the problems they are about to cause themselves.

I seriously doubt that any have done that for you. Rather, not really
*wanting* to make the mistakes in the first place, you *learned* from them
NOT to repeat them and instead find a better approach - they could do that
too, IF they *really* *wanted* to!

   > Well, it can't be done.

Sure it can, but by the Individuals themselves, Motivated by their *wanting*
   to improve!!!

   > This seems a failing of humanity.

"Humanity" IS the condition of Failing, Truly a Disease, THE Disease that's
   Destroying everything!!!

   > It's the why of the current resurgence of socialism in this country.

More like a *greater* resurgence of Socialism, along with Every other kind
   of EVIL!!!

   > A complete resistance to learning from the past.

   Absolutely!

   > Is rebellion a common thing with youth, or is it cultural ?

Is it even rebellion in the first place? That's a rhetorical question ;)
It's NOT rebellion because genuine rebellion requires lots of Thinking, and
   effort rather than Mindless Laziness!
Rather, I'd call it simple Satanic POSSESSION!!!

   > Historically does every generation completely reject all previous human
   > knowledge and insist on learning everything over again by trial and error
   > ?

Rejecting what humans say and do, until and unless it checks out First, is
   always an intelligent approach.
Meaning it's Always Necessary to First separate the Truth from the Damn Lies
   i.e. Questioning, relentlessly!

   > I don't believe that. If humans were fundamentally that stupid, we'd
   > never have survived at all.

That's because not everyone apparently 'taken' to be 'human' really is.
Unlike the total Nonsense of the darwinian concept of biological
'evolution', evolution of the mind is Very Real! "Humans" are those
creatures, known in the Bible as "man", in the absolute lowest, most vile
and despicable mental, psychological, and spiritual condition possible.

In one small sentence, Scripture puts it thusly, in Jeremiah 17:9

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can
   know it?

With almost 8 BILLION of these Desperately Wicked MONSTERS on the loose on
this planet, do we Really Need that many???
Do we Really Need ANY MORE???
THIS IS A *REAL* HORROR STORY!!!

   > This is a cultural thing, brought to us by people who want our
   > civilization to fail. Apparently so they can rule over the ashes.

Since the Garden of Eden, it has never been anything other than Failed!!!
And there are plenty of ashes to go around!

   > Yeah, I see a point ... how is it I'm not being as stubborn as my band
   > mates ? Big difference. It's not that I'm resisting progress .... rather
   > I'm simply not willing to revisit the mistakes of the past just to prove
   > ONE MORE TIME that doing this or that whatever won't work.

You seem to be quite evolved yourself, which is why you're mentioning this -
   way to go!

   > Doing the wrong thing over and over and thinking it'll work next time is
   > literaly the definition of crazy.

Stupidity, Evil, and Insanity, are ultimately one and the same!

   > And it's the reason so many bands can't keep gigs.

   Jim D

They're not serious. Their idea of 'living' is Pretense.
