From: sunofmusic@gmail.com              No Mad Karma are a unique blend of ancient Kazakh melodies and traditional       instruments crafted by composer Aidos Sagat, blended with cutting edge western       soundz and lyrics by vocalist Sye who is a cousin of cult artist Amy       Winehouse, and incredibly also        the son of legendary 60's vocalist Frankie Vaughan. Backed by a group of       London's finest musicians.              The first single from the band, '27', is a tribute to Winehouse written by Sye       shortly after her death, in which she joined Cobain, Hendrix and the other       members of the so called '27 club'. The lyrics and the video - filmed in       Camden where Winehouse        became so iconic - pay emotional tribute to one of our generation's finest       talents, and honours the awesome musical legacy The "27" Club has left us.              The new single is the just first part of a 2015 music industry assault by this       band of incredible musicians, with an album coming soon. Recorded in part at       the infamous Rockfield Studios in Wales - where Bohemian Rhapsody was recorded       - the clash of        styles and cultures make for a heady, and very unusual mix.              It's little wonder that the sound of the band is so precise and smart, as it       is full of players with incredible pedigree in the music industry. Soul Power       House Backing vocalist Jaelee Small is the daughter of Millie Small of 'My Boy       Lollipop' fame,        while the No Mad Karma Rhythm Section have played on countless Gold and       Platinum Records with a who's who of the music industry.              Bassist Phil Spalding (with Mick Jagger, Mike Oldfield, Ray Charles, Robbie       Williams, Elton John) and Drummer/Producer Preston Heyman (Kate Bush, Paul       McCartney, Massive Attack, Tina Turner, Terence Trent D'arby) clearly know how       to create top class        foundations for new music, and it shows in Prestons crisp cinematic production       here.              No Mad Karma's début single '27' is released on April 20th with the album to       follow in the spring !              check out the video here       https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhf1C1k0iIc              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
