That's my point about changing just because someone else 'thinks' you
   should.
Besides, if you want the sitar sound in the form of a 6 string electric
   guitar, they exist.

   Yet another Rip-Off!

You use monitor speakers...why not use a monitor monitor ;) ?

Certainly it would cost a lot less to hook up an enormous monitor, if you
want something like that, for a LOT less I'm sure.

   > I can see either one the same. So paying a big premium for a barely

I'd like to see a serious competitor come along and Deflate the monopoly!

   > I play guitars that are dirt cheap. Played one yesterday. The cheapest (

   Yep, isn't CNC manufacturing wonderful!
Now there is where computers should be...and for a more personal touch, the
CNC part can be used up to a point and then followed by hand finishing the
rest of the way...along with a big price increase of course.

   > They are still guitar, just ones that someone somewhere think are worth

   > the same.

I've been through that with loudspeakers...and I know what I know, and if
someone else wants to worship some pricey name brand...it's their loss.

   > Cheap guitars and expensive guitars sound the same, unles there is some
   > problem with them. Well, they sound the same in the sense that no two
   > guitars really sound exactly the same.

If I played guitar, I wouldn't like that...which is why I'd insist on
   carbon fiber...which unfortunately, is expensive.

   > It's in some perceived " better " that the more expensive ones are
   > supposed to have that logic fails. If you like the better paint, or the
   > more time spend dressing the frets on an expensive guitar, then buy one.

I always joke about Epiphone guitars, I've never known of one that isn't an
excellent instrument, and they're owned by overpriced Gibson...which
probably means that the very affordable Epiphone may very well have been run
on the same production line as Gibsons...so for an additional $1,000 plus,
instead of "Epiphone" on the headstock, you can have "Gibson" on it instead
   )

   Jim

Yeah, that's for sure...and I'm all ready for Halloween. Friday, I put the
17 lighted decorations in the windows, and early Saturday, I finished with
the outside 2 lighted pumpkins and 2 Jack-O' Lanterns, and the 3 ghosts and
a spook in the tree, along with a nice big spider perched in the low
branches of the mulberry tree to welcome trick-or-treaters.
