Opps.              Windows 10, the os I'm using, has a real time spell checker, but since I'm       also using a notebook computer, which means no *proper* keyboard, it's more       of a necessity than a luxury.              > Probably a lot smaller production runs on the larger screens, so higher       > costs to get parts and made.              For a couple of bucks more maybe, but not the difference you mentioned,       which being usual for crApple, sounds like nothing but more GREEEEEEED.              > We have done that in the past. Ok, maybe they       > still don't like it, but we don't bother letting them bother us with their       > backward ways these days.              Yeah, with computers on stage, one has to wonder if the name of the band is       something like "The Office" ;)       But I'd much rather have a nice piano in a real office instead...and that       might get some gasps too ;)              > Band girl sat in with a square dance band a few weeks back. He said something about her needing that thing as a "       > cheater " ( the ipad ) to remember her lyrics.              I prefer to memorize what I'm singing, just as I memorize what I'll be       playing, better Vibe that way!              > Skip to yesterday. Well, "iWon't" ;)              > Point ? Old bastards don't like progress.              Depends on what you mean by 'progress'.              > Young people do.              Bet she hasn't the slightest idea of how it even works...and how it may be       Spying on her...so that would tend to indicate that Ignorance is bliss is       'progress'...into More Tyranny!!!              > Why the hate from old timers ? It won't change reality one bit.              As the lyrics from track 11. of the Through The Eons album so aptly put it:              reality is just the effort that's put forth to make it...into a Paradigm       Return!              > I thought about buying a different computer when I finally buy a new one.       > Wife shot that right down. She pointed out the conversion time to move       > all my stuff into a new system wouldn't be worth the money difference.       > And, really, there wouldn't be a money difference. By the time I buy a       > less expensive laptop, assuming there is one that will do what I do and       > actually cost less, then add in the cost of new software, I'd be right       > back where I am.              But you'd have choices then.              > Then I'd need months to more all my songs over.              > Life is too short.              The way to do it is to get the new computer and start moving into it       gradually while phasing out the more Monopolistic equipment...then it's not       so overwhelming.              > Yes, that's exactly why low end guitars are so good now.              Never anything wrong with quality, and affordability together.              > do they even make carbon fiber guitars ?? what's the point, to just make       > them weirdo ?              There are both acoustic and electric carbon fiber guitars, and what's so       weird about something that's impervious to moisture, i.e. no warping, and is       louder than wood, and never loses it's tonal qualities over time?              > Isn't it the other way around ? Epiphone owns Gibson, as far as I know.              No, Gibson owns Epiphone.       The guitar player in my first band had an Epiphone 6 string acoustic, and       it sounded great, just like every other Epiphone I've ever heard, and their       players Love them, and their prices are pretty much unbeatable.              > It rained here today. We had ONE trick or treater, and that was an old guy       > doing it for some neighbor kids who weren't allowed out in the bad       > weather.                     Jim              Yesterday was October 30 - Tonight is Halloween, October 31st.       Who trick-or-treats the day before Halloween...and on behalf of WIMPS no       less? ;)       If someone ever did that here, I'd tell 'em to come back the next night and       do it right ;)       And doing it right means at Night, Not in the day - that's for WIMPS and       Halloween is supposed to be Spooky!       If trick-or-treaters come by while it's still light out, before I turn the       decorations on, I'll give 'em something l ike one piece of candy and tell       'em to come back later, after dark!              Ouisie              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
