But it seemed to indicate that being given things should be a reason to
somehow justify going to church, and that's definitely NOT among my motives
   for going.

   > keyboards are good. at least they are generally in tune :-)

   Yeah, generally ;)
I once had a Very embarrassing situation with my old Yamaha DX-7 - I'd
brought it by to go over some songs for a setlist and unbeknownst to me, for
some still unknown reason, was out of tune. I couldn't believe
it...finally, I got the manual out and put it back in tune...apparently, as
best as I'm able to imagine, there was some accidental contact with a
membrane switch and the tuning mode was inadvertently entered, which used a
slider control, which was also inadvertently moved ;)

Whammy bar is accurate, but being a keyboard player, particularly relating
to a Real tremolo effect for an electric piano, especially the one built
into Wurlitzer electric pianos, I prefer an accurate description...because
that also applies to tremolo effect pedals too...which I'd Love to get for
use on my Casio CDP-130 board...which has a decent Rhodes, and Wurli sound
selection, but no effects...so I'd also want at least a phase shifter for it
   too.

   > Yes, there are systems that work. Fender just isn't one of them.

Nothing wrong with customizing...whether for a bicycle, or instrument ; )

   > lamination, or holographic flecks in the paint ... cosmetic things. People
   > eat that stuff up.

In other words, superficial Crap...to appeal to FOOLish Idiots...but then
that's how it goes with loudspeakers too...or even presidential
candidates...no wonder I ended the Opening A Channel album with this one:

   12. Departure

   verse1
preparing for takeoff come along we're getting ready to go
gonna get away from the rotting decay and leave it all far down below

I won't even bother to explain to those who don't wanna hear
I'll just shake off the dust from under my feet leaving them to their most
   ominous fear

getting higher than we've ever gotten high before
up in the air away from worry and care as we soar

   verse2
like an amusement park that ain't so amusing we just keep waiting while
   we're standing in line
to be taken for a ride getting cheated and lied to by those who only waste
   all our time

it's just one bad trip right after another because for every crest there's
   also a trough
until you finally decide you've had enough of this ride and scream STOP IT
   NOW I WANNA GET OFF!

what have you really got to show for everything that you've done
year after year on and on just trippin' 'round the sun

   bridge
we'll be leaving soon please don't be late
there's no more time left to procrastinate
to be left out will seal your fate
get on board right now and don't hesitate

   verse3
I hope you're ready to travel and that you're ready to fly
leave the world to further unravel say good riddance and also goodbye

it's to a far better place we'll be going
from which there'll be no need for returns

such a happy thought in the knowing
we'll be long gone from here before it all burns
