   We had 50 trick-or-treaters, and many of them were arriving by car after it   
   got dark. That's a great way to do it - covers more distance, enables going   
   to more houses so more treats, get to stay out later, and it's safer too.   
   It's how my family used to do it. My mother got into a costume and   
   accompanied the three of us us while my father followed close behind in the   
   car, going from one parking place to the next down each block and keeping us   
   in sight all the while.   
      
   It's nice to see Halloween being an event for the whole  family to enjoy,   
   and there were several like that who came to our house.
