It's not so much that as the idea that so many have about somehow
'preaching' 'religion' into someone by always talking about it and in
general, getting in their face with it. Testifying, that is, giving
testimony by reciting or reading Scripture is one thing, and so is
witnessing, relating personal experiences and how they accurately conform to
the testimony given in Scripture, but 'telling' someone to believe, or even
that they have to believe, or else, is not only ineffective, it's also
usually counterproductive in that it's often a very effective turn-off...and
I know that from personal experience.

   > Wasn't there a story of some rich prince who Jesus told to give all his

   > " and left him. That's probably not the King James wording, but eh,
   > whatever.

Yes, it's in both the Gospel of Matthew and of Mark, where a very wealthy
young man asks Jesus what he can do to inherit God's Kingdom, to which He
replies that he should sell all he has and give what he gets for it to the
poor...and it wasn't Jesus who left him, it was the rich young man who
   walked away and left Jesus!

   > I'm at peace with not caring anymore if someone wants to disagree with me

   > then, great, get out there and do it, whatever. I'm only taking care of
   > me and mine at this point.

But we're NOT Called to be Selfish!
And Selfishness is Precisely Why this Miserable world is such a Hell on
Earth in the first place, and it's far better to be part of the Solution,
   than the Problem!

Just LOOK at tha Horror those two Devils, Adam and Eve visited upon ALL of
   us by their being Selfish!!!

   > And that even affects the band. Imagine that. Long chat with singer girl
   > tonight. We're both of the mind to do songs we like, as we like, and if
   > that breaks the band up because the others don't like our path, 'twas ment
   > to be.

Totally different situation. Doing songs you like the way you like will
result in their being done the best.

   > Caring what people with no " skin in the game " as far as MY career, MY
   > life go .... well, I'm done listening to advice from them. Or, people who
   > clearly don't have a clue. That would be other local musicians who don't
   > like this or that about how we run the band. If they're so smart, then
   > good for them.

That's a matter of the Unique, Individual character of a Specific band and
   one size NEVER fits all!!!

   > As someone once said, referring to some business strategy that disagreed
   > with his " we'll see them in the marketplace ". It was Steve Jobs, as I
   > recall.

   Jim

   Great example!
Steve Jobs was an atheist...so he ran his company as though there was no
God...which means, if he felt like Stealing from his customers, it wouldn't
matter that God Forbids Stealing, so he had his products designed to fall
apart and be difficult to fix, and he overpriced them too, along with all
the RipOffs that are the epitome of CRAPple!!!

On the other hand, if he had been a *genuine* Christian, he'd know what God
   *expects* of him, like:

The *Golden Rule* directly from Jesus Himself in the Gospel of Luke 6:31
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Also directly fro Jesus in the Gospel of Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken
together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the
same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

   Colossians 3:23
   And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Just imagine *if* Steve Jobs had Actually Believed THAT!!!
Wouldn't thatt have been SO VERY NICE? A LOT nicer than what really
   happened?
He would have *Lived* that belief, better known as Faith, in the constant
fear of God, Knowing he'd be *accountable* to Him, and as a result you'd
have computers that would hold up rather then being Deliberately Designed to
break down! And they wouldn't be overpriced either!

And that's only One, Tiny example...there are MANY, MANY MORE!!!

On my second album, Ignite The Sky, there's a protest song for track 6,
entitled "Why Are You Asking Me?', which is only a very short projectio and
protraction of an escalation of what's already happening right now - a Vile,
Godless, Satanic Despotic New World Order's Destruction of America, and its
bridge mentions something very important in terms of Factual details:

and to think that you once said we never had it so good
even while the virus just kept spreading like I said it would
too cheap and too lazy to work hard to pay the price
to keep our Heritage despite the Founders' sage advice

That last part, about the Founders' sage advice, is not mere words, here are
some examples of their sage advice:

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this
Great Nation was Founded, not by religionists, but by
Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus
Christ! For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been
afforded asylum, prosperity, and Freedom of worship here."
                                                --- Patrick Henry

"We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not
upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the
future...upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern
ourselves, to sustain ourselves, according to the Ten
   Commandments of God."
                                                --- James Madison

"The people know it is impossible to rightly govern without
   GOD and the BIBLE."
                                            --- George Washington

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending
with human passions unbridled by morality and religion.
Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the
strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a
net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and
religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other."
                                                   --- John Adams

"...Is not a glorious death in defence of our liberties better
than a short, infamous life, and our memory to be had in
detestation to the latest posterity? Let us all be of one
heart, and stand fast in the liberties wherewith Christ has
   made us free."
                       --- Colonel William Prescott, July 4, 1774
