Logarithmic taper, always for any control whose direct effects are to be
heard in regards to amplitude and frequency.

I definitely could use one for my keyboards, particularly the organ.

   > The price is all in the mechanical parts. Alumimum case, nice rollers for

They're horribly overpriced - around 90 bucks is simply toooooo much!

   > You wanna see stupid overpriced, check out the Roland EV-5 expression

30 bucks more if it's metal instead of plastic, disgusting!

   Sure, they're charging 'boutique' prices.
Think that's something, there's a custom made pedal called the "Organ
Grinder" which adds awesome tube-sounding but solid solid state produced
Leslie 122 preamp overdrive sound for that Orgasmic 'grinding' sound for a
more complete B3 experience, and that little pedal is around 200 bucks or
   more - RIP OFF!!!
They've also got one for the overdriven Wuril electric piano sound too, for
   around the same price.

   > For that you get a simple impedance converter type preamp added. Again,

Sound is like that, a very powerful stimulus...and unfortunately as the
Greedy Opportunists have discovered, something to also stimulate losing a
lot of money from those who want one.

Time to pull out the acoustics specs, like spectral signatures and such.

   > Better wood ? What in the world is that, I thought ? Wood from 65 is
   > better than wood from 78 ? How ?

Can't be all that great, because the wood their heads are made out of isn't
all that good at thinking ;)

   > After a little back and forth, I ended up saying " hey, they're just wood,

Yeah, I like carbon fiber much better ;)

There is better wood, better at being much more expensive and therefore
   something to brag about ;)
It's the same with loudspeakers or anything else - big, impressive,
Expensive name, it's *got to* sound better, simple child psychology.
Your $70 strat and his $7,000 strat - his *must* sound better...for any
reason other than simply looking at the specs...and he gets to pay for all
   that bragging...they can have it!
