We've got ugly clouds and       almost a dusting of snow...a very mild winter over here so far but as       always, the sooner it's gone, the better - who needs winter?              > A basic theme of your response seem to be to challenge my judgment on       > quitting the " real band ".              Not challenging your judgment, but rather questioning it.              > Was it as bad as I say ? Could we have made it work ? Did I just panic ?       > All the same sort of things my cousin might ask. So here's the deal, just       > to cut to the quick. What you should do is get out there, get in a       > position similar to where we were, and see how it really works. Then       > succeed past where we went. I'm sure it can be done :-)              I'm planning on getting there, and I'm expecting trouble - because trouble       is all I've ever had starting literally from day one, which also means I'm       prepared to fight...yet again.              > No, seriously, we were as far as we could get, with the people we had.       > Bands are group efforts, and so the whole thing matters. Actually more       > than that. There are people past the band, managers, agents, producers,       > wives, girlfreinds ... a bunch.              Sure, there are Needless Extras, particularly Parasites, and/or Manipulators       that must be dealt with all along the way.              > That I'm alive it directly because I walked away from that crazy       > situation. No doubt. I don't have to kill myself prove I'm mortal.                     Jim              Maybe getting into the 'big time' was never something you really Totally       aspired to, or maybe you aspired to it a little but decided that it wasn't       worth the struggle after all, but you never mentioned that part of it, only       that you basically feared for your life, which you believed would be       seriously at risk if you continued onward.       Maybe I have an advantage there of sorts considering how I entered this       alien world...seriously at risk and then minutes later, actually in the       process of being put to death by asphyxiation but being rescued at the very       moment I would have otherwise become dead. As a result, I perceive things       differently than most and feel I'm constantly in a borderline state between       life and death, which really makes for some interesting perspectives to say       the least ;)              Ouisie              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
