   I don't like Idiot 'protection' devices on anything. If someone's Stupid   
   enough to not care about the damage they're doing to the other equipment   
   along with their, and others' hearing, they deserve to have fried equipment!   
   When I designed speakers, efficiency was everything, as it should be.   
   If that has to be reduced just because some Idiot is Stupid, I don't want   
   any part of it - just look at what that SICK mentality has done to cars!

   It wouldn't surprise me a bit. Idiot-friendly Crap is everywhere, but I   
   don't want any part of it.   
   And changing the structure of the moving parts of a speaker usually has a   
   dramatic effect on the sound, usually not for the better...but I'd much   
   rather have something that requires SENSE and REASON on the part of the   
   user.

   I've had the same kind of 'complaint' for the duo I'm in with my Soulmate,   
   The Difference, that we're not ear-splitting loud enough...Terrible that   
   Idiots WANT to go deaf, and they want us to help them.   
   Meanwhile, the two of us are not part of the band that's been hosting the   
   open mic events we've been going to, and they're leader told the  audience   
   that we can make anyone sound good ;) But we're tired of the worn out   
   setlist and want new ones, including of course, or Original material.

   Yeah, pretty much. We still need to get the gear we really want, including   
   of course, a 3,700.00 Nord C2D Hammond clone ;)
