Compared to mindLess Dumbed-Down Zombie DUUUUUUUUUUUUUH, yes, they do,
because they've got something to say ; )
My tunes tend to take some effort to sing and play, but that's okay, because
   they're Not written for Zombies!

   > Wonder what kids who like Sam Hunt would think Johhny Cash if they didn't

WHY would they care to know who Sam Hunt is???
   CRAP!!!

   > They did have some decent banjo now and then.

That's Bernie Leadon, and he sure can play.

   > By that, I'm talking about the " style " of the playing, not the physical

   > I still don't care for the music.

   Still an excellent musician though.

   > Cute.

That's okay, I can get several kinds of guitar sounds out of my Yamaha DX7
synth...sometimes I'll even use guitar effects with them.

That's nothing, I know a character, and I do mean character, whom my
Soulmate introduced me to, who plays guitar and mandolin, and is into guitar
synths, and for some crazy reason, he likes to play guitar and get harmonica
sounds coming out of the amp. He was doing goofy stuff like that when he
played with us once, and I mentioned later that although I heard plenty of
other instruments, the one instrument I never heard, was a guitar ;)

   > What shows up pretty quickly is that a guitarist can't really play much "

   > once ..... pretty crippled as far as guitar music. So even tho technology
   > cam make a guitar sound like a piano, it can't make it into a piano,
   > except at a playing level no piano player would begin to accept.

Perhaps those who use those guitar synths aren't interested in doing more
than the synth will let them.

   > There is a line I use, have for years, as a way of describing my keyboard

   > Pale, or some jerky sounding 50's boogie ... dozens of other very basic
   > piano things. Put me up there with some three chord rockers, and I'm
   > golden. That doesn't make me a piano player :-)

Maybe you look at it that way because you enjoy playing guitar more.

   > Interesting. My keyboard stand is a simple X thing, cheap, works. A few

   > Bolted and hot glued together. It's great.

I like the idea of modifying keyboard stands to hold more stuff.
