Fortunately, being an engineer, I make it a point to analyze to a level that
precludes such things, resulting in even greater Original Uniqueness.

I take Originality very seriously and thus avoid plagiarism like the Plague
   that it is!

Impure motives again - might as well be a stuck-in-a-rut CopyCat.
Purity of the Art is EVERYTHING...*if* it's Important not to let it DIE!!!

I write songs about struggling to be Free, about getting somewhere in Music,
surviving, virtue, persevering, enduring, and succeeding, and Love songs
that really are about Love, not sex.

   > Sure there are other kinds of songs, songs with substance that might
   > reveal some universal truth.

   I've got those too.

   > Don't look for that on a pop recording. They are all about screwing on the
   > tailgate of a pickup, or the girl felling all sad either before she meets
   > mr perfect, or after she dumps him and keys his truck ....

That's okay that I wouldn't waste my time with those, but then I wouldn't do
any other lowlife puke either, like hip hop cRap.

   > These songs, as all popular songs do, reflect the state of our society.

And that's why I keep the protest song tradition alive!

   > We're in decline. It's broken. It's coming apart. Don't look for songs
   > about a stable culture.

I've got at least one, "Smooth Sailing" off the first album....and "It's
Gonna Get Better" off the second album, and "Paradigm Return" off the third
album to name a few ;)
They're idealistic because I'm an idealist and write idealistic
songs...songs that dare to hold out HOPE, which we all Need!

   > Our's is at best transitioning to something else, or it's just flat
   > collapsing. No songs about a sustainable system. No songs about man meets
   > women, they have kids, the kids grow up, the parents live long lives and
   > die, cycle repeats.

The OVERbreeding is what got us into this mess in the first place!!!

Perhaps I might write a song about that in the possibly near future, maybe
with a title like "How Many More"? Or "Enough Is Enough"!

   > During the " war " years we had patriot songs.

I'll NEVER support any NWO Dialectic wars - because they're NOT patriotic!

   > In the 60's we had doper songs. Now we have songs about women who some
   > might call " bitches "

I'm into hippie rock & roll!
And it's the kind I write.

   > hey, I'm getting a little too honest here, ...time to take a breath ..

   Jim

I think you might be giving me some ideas for the 5th song on the 4th album,
   I hope ;)
