   Very interesting, and weird too!   
   WHY even bother to use an XLR cable in the first place only to put an   
   unbalanced 1/4" phone plug on the other end?   
   But they've apparently fixed the problem and now have a balanced line yet   
   still, I wonder why they didn't just do that in the beginning.
