Cool.       I'm sure you'll Love it, at least according to what I saw in the video.              > The reason we bought this was the 6 aux busses. Actually it has 10 outs,       > but one stereo pair is the mains and another is normally assigned to a       > headphone out.              That's right, it does stereo too...how cool is that!              > using the 6 normal aux outs ( busses ), we'll use two for the backing       > tracks ( stereo ), one for my mic, one for girls, and two for my keyboards       > ( stereo ).              Stereo keyboards? My Casio CDP-130 has stereo, but only for realism insomuch       as the left speaker gets more amplitude for the low keys and the right       speaker gets more for the high keys, like a real acoustic grand piano,       particularly one with the cover fully open or removed...but on a stage, it       would be very unrealistic, which means that to make any instrument stereo       would have to mean that a stereo delay would be used to simulate the       bouncing of the sound off the walls, in addition to the real life       reflections ;)              > From those busses, each of us can make our own in ear, or floor wedge mic.       > For example, singer girl can blend in as much tracks, my guitar, and her       > and my mic as she choses into her monitor. Oh well, got that       > too.              Yes it *sounds* like a good idea but in Practice, how ergonomic, shall we       say, will it be to be able to access all those functions when needed,       particularly in real time?              The cool thing about real three dimensional mechanical controls is that       they're always there, instantly ready to be adjusted without having to 'call       them up' first. The uncool thing is that they take more space and weigh       more.              > I'm getting a lot of calls from old band buds. Cheese and wine afterwards for me.              Jim              Strange way of looking at it.              Ouisie              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
