Ha.              I'm sure over all, it went cool.              > I can hear a million times better, so there is that :-)              And getting better ;)              > Singer girl downloaded an X-Air monitor app onto her iphone. There is a setup screen       > where you pick what monitor buss your messing with. Gotta impress on       > everyone it's important to read the lables.              I'm sure Behringer's logic is simple - you're careful when you do ANYthing       in Music, so these adjustments should be no different.       So probably some rehearsing with the operation of the XR18 wifi remote       controls is in order.              > If we get past this, it'll be a nice system. If we don't, I have no idea       > ..... Sure, I'm overreacting. That's what I do :-)              If you don't get past this, the ONLY reason would be IMMATURITY in one form       or another in which case, those who Refuse to Learn to do it right need to       have their controllers taken away ;)              > I really like the in ears. Drummer is happy now that he can make his own       > monitor mix. Singer girl says we sound like listening to the radio ( which       > was a compliment ) thru her in ears.              I'm trying to talk my church into getting an XR18, and I'd like one too for       our duo, along with the Behringer iNUKE NU1000DSP 1000W (bridged or 2*500W       stereo) amp in a nice little rack mount!              > Maybe the constant, years long fight ( and complaints ) over the monitor       > mix will finally end ? ? ?              No reason why it shouldn't.              > Oh, we did about half a dozen new songs. .. covers we've never played with       > this lineup. Got right thru them. Easy as pie. A big reason was, I could       > hear what I was playing. AND, I could hear the bass lines and keys I'd       > done for the tracks.              Isn't that Awesome?       I've always said that good soundwork makes or Breaks ANY act!              > How did the drummer do ? I've no idea. I don't have him in my monitors at       > all. He's on his own. And that how he wants to be, as far as I can tell.       > It's like that across the board.              WHY for gosh sakes???              > If someone doesn't know the song, and they are screwing it up, I don't       > know, I can't hear them. I hear the vocals and myself, and the tracks.              Can't you adjust the mix to hear everything clearly?       That's the first thing I'd do!!!       Because I've GOT to hear Everything Clearly, every voice, including mine,       and every instrument, including mine!!!              > How this might sound to the audience, I haven't a clue. But singer girl       > and I will breeze thru the songs easy :-)              Jim              The FOH 'mains' have to be soundchecked too and optimized in addition to the       personal monitor mixes.       There's no getting away from that, EVER!              Of course, you could always have a soundcheck when there are some of the       audience present and play a 'calibration' recording while letting then use       the tablet to set the sound the way they'd like to hear it...since it's all       SUBJECTIVE anwyay ;)       And that might just provide some insight into what they like to give you an       idea next time ;)       The psychology of sensation is a Fantastic phenomenon to study....so many       variables.       Or you could just read the Vibe ;)              Ouisie              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
