Many of our Caravans have motorized side doors, some of them actually still
   work ;)
But all of them may be overridden simply by opening the doors manually, the
   way it should be.
The only exception is if the child proof locks have been engaged first.

   > This is a problem ONLY if you try to mess with the doors while the vehicle

Sliding doors on helicopters can be opened and closed in flight, and cargo
planes with rear loading hatches can have them opened and closed in flight,
and at much higher speeds and far greater altitudes than minivans...so NO
   PROBLEM!!!

This clearly indicates that while the Objectives of "safety" may be the
same, the Practice(s) of Achieving them is Always Subjective, and Must
Always remain so - as Subjective as the Unique Individuality of each Unique
   Individual involved!!!

   > They bother me :-)

That should be all under the driver's control anyway, just like the
deployment of reverse thrust on an aircraft should be under the control of
   the pilots.

   > I don't think mine even has a latch on the inside back. Never been back

Ours require the door to be open to get access at the rear of the door.

   > I'm happy with the XR18.

I downloaded the manual for it...I'd be happy with it too ;)

   > Why would I want to hear instruments that don't help me play my parts ?

Because they're in the same BAND!!!

If you don't want to hear any particular instrument(s), doesn't that
indicate that perhaps those instruments are pretty much UNNEEDED?

   > Because onstage I need to hear myself the best I can.

Same here. But Why would hearing yourself the best you can Preclude hearing
the Entire rest of the band too?

   > I wasn't thinking of a stereo recording. I was thinking of recording each
   > track / channel of the mixer individually.

That's a bit involved but in that case, of course, get another computer.

Planning on duplicating the sound of a performance? ;)

Any Holograms to go with it? ;)

   > It is quite an improvement over what we had before. We used it today for

I can't wait to get one and use it for our duo gigs!

   Snow? Again?
