From: a_rod_777@yahoo.com               > That's true that Christianity's idea of God is biased toward masculinity.       Still, I think that the concept of Holy Trinity contains seeds of a more       balanced interpretation where only the Son (Logos) is strictly masculine while       the diffused, flowing and        less clearly defined character of the Holy Spirit (Wind, Breath) evokes       femininity. The Father as the hidden source of both is then neither purely       masculine nor purely feminine.       >        > I wrote this and more in an article here:       > https://thephilosophyforum.com/discussion/1768/page/p1#OP              Yes exactly. They Kept "The Father", changed "The Mother" to "The Holy Ghost"       to de-feminize the energy in our minds and collective reality, and they also       changed "The Child" to "The Son" to masculize that energy in our collective       consciousness. This        creates a shift in our thinking and thus a shift in our realities where we       become imbalanced becasue we no longer recognize, appreciate and utilize the       feminine qualities of our very nature.              > Some Christians actually regard Holy Spirit as feminine, Bono of U2 being       among them. And some years ago came out a novel called The Shack, which became       popular among Christians (though it was also criticized by some) and this       novel was centered around        a metaphorical depiction of Holy Trinity where the Son was represented by a       male (classical Jesus), Holy Spirit by a female, and Father by a woman who was       nevertheless called "Papa" and in the end also briefly appeared as an old man.       Moreover, the woman        representing Holy Spirit was Asian (Indian) and the woman representing Father       was black. Although the author didn't explain why he chose this particular       portrayal, the representations of Son and Holy Spirit also evoke the contrast       between Western (Judeo-       Christian) and Eastern civilizations, and the black race of Father could be       seen as representing Africa, which is the cradle of homo sapiens (thus serving       as a "source" of all human civilizations). A movie based on the book was in       theaters this year but        I didn't see it.       >               Very deep symbology here. You have only scratched the surface of "the message"       they are programming you with. Not all programs are bad. They are natural and       we need them to function just like a computer needs proper programs to       function. But in order to        know if they are malicious you have to tear them apart and really get into       their deepest code.              > Sounds like esoteric porn :))               It literally is. The entire universe is one big symbol for the act of making       love. Return to G-d through the act of Divine Union seems to be the prevalent       message written in every aspect of any and everything you can possibly fathom.       How gorgeous is that? ;)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
