From: a_rod_777@yahoo.com              > What we don't know is just metaphysical details, not ultimate logic.       Ultimate logic is just the principle that nothing is both true and not true in       the same sense.       >        > And even regarding methaphysical details, scientists have already gone far       beyond what we perceive with 5 senses. Take string theory, which postulates       additional space dimensions, which no one has so far perceived. Or take       mathematicians, who        discovered hierarchies of infinities. The 5 senses won't tell you that some       infinities are greater than others, and yet mathematicians have discovered       exactly that.              Yes but they have discovered these things through the windows of the five       senses. Anything that has come into our experience through the external       physical world has come through the windows of the senses. This is the       ultimate truth and there is no way        around it.              We can postulate and reason beyond the five senses, yes, but the variable data       used in that reasoning is ultimately contrived from the information we have       fundamentally obtained externally through sensory experience.              We are simply arguing semantics here.        What we do not know and are incapable of experiencing in human form is indeed       "metaphysical" but it doesn't change the fact that the "metaphysical" is       nothing more than unknown variables in an equation that are fundamental to       properly understand and        ascertain a valid reason.              Logic is constant throughout the Universe, but within our human awareness it       is incomplete and limited. Incomplete equations can only be logically deduced       with absolute certainty to a finite point. Without the required variables       (omni-awareness) you        simply cannot reduce the equation to the ultimate answer. We are left then       with only speculation and questions which is the motivating principle of life.              Further more, modes of logic will change according to the variables we are       calculating. For instance: Our mode of logic of time and space, as the average       person understands it in their everyday world, no longer applies when we begin       to view it through        the lenses of the theory of relativity.              Just because the average person does not understand the theory of relativity       does not mean his logic about how long it takes to get from point A to point B       is necessarily wrong... it just means it is incomplete; as the theory of       relativity states that        the closer we get to traveling at the speed of light will dilate the time it       takes to get from point A to B. The average person would have no way of being       aware of this variable of time dilation unless their awareness was expanded to       allow this        information to be included into their logic, thereby changing the whole mode       of logic they use to conceive of time and space. Before Einstein, the academic       world never used a model of logic that included time and space as actually       being one and the same.        The mode of logic had to be expanded and evolved into a more intricate system       of analysis.              The bottom line is there are to many missing variables to form a logical       conclusion about the nature of reality. All we can do is work with what we do       know to be fairly certain. When we reach the point where we simply do not have       enough information to        draw a logical conclusion we must accept that anything is possible from that       point forward.              The logic of the Universal mind IS complete and functions on a much higher       plane of awareness then anything we can fathom as humans. A new paradigm of       thought is required to make the leap into a new reality of experience. Begin       to think "outside the box".              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
