|    Re: The Church Is The Bell That Divides    |

From Tomas (litewave) 9/5/17              "In my opinion that is what The Division Bell is a blueprint for. The       restoration of the total Human Being through the re-establishment of       communication between the ego (the light head) and the soul/unconscious mind       (dark head)? Perhaps the Church        between the heads is symbolic of those forces of the establishment that       intentionally work towards blocking that connection within us for whatever the       ultimate reason may be.              The Church as an ossified structure can keep consciousness imprisoned in it,       devitalize it, turn it into stone. Storm Thorgerson once said that the third       head on TDB cover keeps the two heads from talking. Maybe he was referring to       the material body in        which the ego/soul dyad is incarnated. A similar idea seems to be expressed in       the table tennis scene in the High Hopes video - when the tennis ball becomes       too large and heavy the two players find it difficult to play with it.              On the other hand, the third head can also be seen as something that unifies       the two heads, like the Father in the Trinity, who is the source of Son and       Spirit. TDB front cover can be seen as an image of the Trinity. And the Ely       Cathedral in the middle        is The Cathedral Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Ely. But this       Trinity is apparently mired in earth. It needs to be set free, so that the       Father's will is done on earth as it is in heaven."              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
