   Denise... I remember that T-shirt incident, you wrote about it some months   
   back. It seems that you never meant to him as much as he meant to you. You   
   feel that ELP lyrics refer specifically to you but Carl is not even listed   
   among the authors of the    
   songs. I don't think he played mind games with you. You took the lyrics   
   personally because you still cared about him. But he didn't care about you. He   
   had his own life. I think that's the most obvious explanation.
