"Yin and yang are not opposites, but complements. Yin is not female. Yang is       not male, but each contains elements of both."                     Therefore...              "I never realized that the word "anima" has two established meanings: (1) the       feminine part of a man's personality, as opposed to "animus", and (2) the part       of the psyche that is directed inward or toward the subconscious, as opposed       to "persona".              I knew about the first meaning from Jungian psychology, and while it seemed to       me that the "inner self" or soul had a feminine character (softer, less       defined, ethereal) I didn't know that "anima" had the second established       meaning, thus linking        femininity with the inner self."                     These are just words, and do not represent the true true state of affairs       because someone misused them... They are meaningless at best, and misleading       at worst. Anima does not link feminity with the inner self. Feminity is       already connected with        the inner self, as its complement is so connected.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
