To that point, everything       about the page numbers is obvious and self-evident, and leads to the       question...              As you know, my suggestion was that the downward orientation of some heads       referred to the mouth, which is of course in the lower part of a head, and       thus symbolized talking. Given the importance of talking in TDB (the general       theme of communication, the        song Keep Talking, the lights between the mouths on UK CD cover, the "Domus       Mea Domus Orationis" inscription on Monk's Door in Ely Cathedral), this would       make some sense. Moreover, the downward-oriented heads contain numbers written       in Spanish and Hebrew,        which are Mediterranean nations that seem to exhibit emotional talkativeness.       This talkativeness is not purely left-hemispheric verbal communication but       also infused with emotion, suggesting an integration of the two hemispheres.       And the head that is        oriented left-down has its number in Italian, which is a nation that is split       between a culturally Western part in the north and a culturally Mediterranean       part in the south. Another sign of hemispheric integration is that although       these three nations        uphold Western values (Christianity/Judaism, democracy, market economy) they       have also been inhabited by Muslims (in the case of Italy, only the south),       which is an Eastern/collectivistic/irrational influence.              I know that you have suggested that the downward orientation of heads refers       to the body, through which the hemispheric integration may be done as well. I       remember that you have also hinted at the importance of the body for Arabs or       Moors but that was        never clear to me.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
