From: Pintar@webtv.net              play that after "Gettin' In Over My Head". Hate to say this, but "Love       You" is far superior despite its rough cut production. "Gettin' In" is       nothing--NOTHING--original. I do like "Desert Drive" because of its       "Finders Keepers" nostalgia. The Carl number is also a stand-out. But       you know there's a problem when three cuts from the rejected "Sweet       Insanity" are remade to fill out the album. "Gettin' In Over My Head"       -- the tune -- is very PetSoundish, so I like it for that reason. But       the rest of the album is a yawner. I wanted it so bad to grab me, but       it didn't. HEY-- does Brian do his own falsetto in "Desert Drive"?? If       so, he can still cook on those, which is a good thing.              Elmer Pintar              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
